IPROP Project was significantly represented in three different stages at EUCASS 2025 – the 11th European Conference for AeroSpace Sciences, one of the most respected international events in the global aerospace research community .

1. Keynote Lecture
The conference featured a keynote lecture by Delphine Laboureur, with closing remarks by Marco Belan, project coordinator of IPROP. Their interventions highlighted the strategic importance of IPROP’s ongoing research on ion propulsion in atmospheric conditions, shaping the future of sustainable aerospace mobility.

2. Dedicated Scientific Session on Ion Propulsion
A special session on Ion Propulsion in the Atmosphere, co-chaired by Marco Belan and Filippo Maggi, brought together contributions from multiple IPROP partners. A total of seven peer-reviewed papers were presented by leading institutions involved in the project, including:

  • Politecnico di Milano

  • Technische Universität Dresden

  • von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics

  • Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT)

  • CNRS – Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique

  • ISAE-SUPAERO

3. Contributions to the AEROST Session
The IPROP project was also featured in the AEROST session, which focused on lighter-than-air aircraft. Researchers from Politecnico di Milano presented two papers centered on the design and development of electric airships.

These three contributions collectively reflect the strength of IPROP’s cross-European collaboration, bringing together academic excellence, technological innovation, and practical relevance. The project’s presence at EUCASS 2025 also underscores its ability to engage with both the scientific community and key industrial stakeholders in the aerospace sector.

The IPROP consortium extends its sincere appreciation to Christophe Bonnal, President of EUCASS, for the opportunity to participate in this significant event.
