IPROP advances toward ion-powered flight with successful airship tests
The IPROP project has reached a significant milestone with the successful flight testing of its second pre-demonstrator airship, marking steady progress toward its long-term ambition – the development of a fully ion-powered airship.

IPROP Project has been successfully presented to an audience of over 700 attendees at #ITEC2025 – IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo + Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (ITEC+EATS), held in Anaheim, California — a key international event supporting the transition to clean, electrified mobility.
First test flight of a small-scale unmanned airship prototype completed
It is the first experimental LTA prototype developed at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology – Politecnico di Milano and marks an important step in both the project and further collaboration with industry.
